Hickel Endorses Sarah Palin In Her Run For Governor
Anchorage–Governor Walter Hickel endorsed Gubernatorial candidate
Sarah Palin today. "The Governor needs to do what is best for
Alaska and the owner state. Sarah Palin is doing exactly that,"
Hickel said.
Palin, who is encouraging all Alaskans to take a stand, responded
today. "I'm so humbled to have the endorsement of Governor Hickel.
I look to him as Alaska's esteemed statesmen," Palin said. "I will
not let Alaska down." With his endorsement today, Governor Hickel
joins a host of others who are taking a stand. Jeff Lowenfels and
Wayne Anthony Ross have both endorsed Palin. "I had the privilege of
working with Jay Hammond, and Sarah Palin is this generation's Jay
Hammond," said Jeff Lowenfels. Wayne Anthony Ross responded to
Governor Murkowski's candidacy announcement with a show of support
for Palin. "There is no question in my mind that there is only one
candidate to support. For so many reasons, she'll fight for
Alaskans' rights. Sarah Palin is our next Governor."
Palin is taking a stand for all Alaskans by supporting a gasline
that puts Alaskans first. "Those who understand our constitution,
like Governor Hickel, understand why I've taken this stance." Palin
said. "First and foremost Alaska's gas must be used to energize our
homes and businesses."
