CONSTITUTION PARTY NATIONAL COMMITTEE PASSES POLICY STATEMENT
(STATEMENT OF POLICY)

Reed R. Heustis, Jr.
September 16, 2002

Adopted by the National Committee of the Constitution Party
  1. The Constitution of the United States provides that "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." This provision was unanimously adopted by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention, and was ratified by the several States.
  2. The cited Constitutional mandate is as appropriate to the conduct of a political party in determining its membership as it is to the conduct of government under the Constitution.
  3. In accord with this principle, the Constitution Party welcomes into its membership all citizens of whom share the party's goal: a restoration of Constitutional government in the United States.
